Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar versus World of Warcraft
The internet world of online role-playing games was upset earlier in the 2007
calendar year with the advent of The Lord of the Rings Online role playing game.
Thousands of people have joined the crusade for Middle-earth in hopes to be able
to conquer the Lord of the Rings Online and become the most well-known player
throughout the internet world. Success has been achieved by some who have played
the game and there certainly will be more successes as time wears on. Lord of
the Rings Online players like everything that Turbine, Incorporated has to offer
and will not abandon the game any time soon.
But the question has arose and been thought by some about what the difference is
between The Lord of the Rings Online and World of Warcraft. After all, World of
Warcraft, also known as WoW, has become practically a household name in the past
two-and-a-half years that it's been around. But The Lord of The Rings has
definitely rivaled the game and only time will tell if there will be many people
leaving the scene of World of Warcraft just to take part in The Lord of the
Rings Online role playing game.
What's the difference between the two games?
Players who have played both World of Warcraft and The Lord of the Rings Online
have said that there is not much difference at all between the setup of the two
games. However, there is one major difference that the Lord of the Rings takes
advantage over World of Warcraft and that comes in the issue of
user-friendliness. Many people have claimed that the Lord of the Rings Online
system is not only easier, but it is easier to navigate when trying to figure
out how to complete a task. But when compared to World of Warcraft on the issue
of system controls, The Lord of the Rings Online certainly has many similarities
to World of Warcraft and many people have actually hypothesized that The Lord of
the Rings is only a duplicate of WoW, except for the name change.
However, other advantages over other role-playing games include the graphics.
Players have commented that they like the graphics better in The Lord of the
Rings Online game than they ever did in World of Warcraft. Another difference
lies in the system of Vocations and Professions. Even though this system is
similar in design to World of Warcraft's system, players all around the world
have said that they enjoyed The Lord of the Rings Profession system more.
Even though the two role playing games are very similar in design and game-play,
however, it cannot be disputed that The Lord of the Rings Online game has taken
the role-playing game arena by storm in 2007 and most definitely will be one of
the next big events that gamers have seen. The beta version of the game was a
big hit so there is bound to be many more people that played the beta version
that will definitely be in for the long haul with The Lord of The Rings Online:
Shadow of Angmar.
