Just as there have been many MMORPG players that have gotten into the game of
Everquest and many of the other online role-playing games, just as many of those
excited gamers have hit the internet and have been playing The LOTRO
role-playing game. Many of these gamers find themselves in a trance and
transfixed at getting farther in the game and many of them go hours on end
without having anything to eat simply because they love playing the LOTRO
role-playing game. There are many aspects to the game that players love about it
and one of the aspects that is particularly good is the amount of professions
that are available to players. The professions in The LOTRO game help the
character to develop over time and help him or her to learn skills by repeating
their profession over and over.
In addition to learning skills, the professions in The LOTRO are equally as
important as the Power that is obtained. The professions actually help with
earning money and the farther along in the game a player is, chances are that
the farther along the development of their character will be. There are ten
different types of professions that the LOTRO role-playing game offers and all
of them are unique in their own way. These ten different professions are the
Woodworker, Cook, Farmer, Forester, Jeweller, Metalsmith, Prospector, Scholar,
Tailor, and Weaponsmith. What you must remember about the professions, though,
is that you cannot choose them directly. Vocations are offered in the game,
however, that will lead a player to the specific professions that can be
experienced. Here are some basic things that you should know about some of the
professions that are offered.
The Cook
Many people in The LOTRO have chosen to be the Cook simply because there are so
many advantages to being the Cook. For example, you may not think this is a big
deal until you are actually in the game playing, but the Cook can make food that
will increase his or her strength and also create more Power for the character.
This can be especially helpful when fighting a difficult monster or completing a
difficult task. For the Cook, the Farmer is very important because the Farmer
grows the food that the Cook needs, but the Cook is one important character that
many people choose to use as their player.
The Forester
This is another example of a very important character that is a favorite in The
LOTRO game. The Forester is basically a woodworking character that uses wood in
his or her profession. A good thing to remember about this character is that
you'll be able to succeed better the farther along in the game that you get. For
example, as the Forester you are able to make more leather and more woodworking
items simply by practicing your profession and getting farther along in the game
by completing more quests. For this reason the Forester is also frequently
chosen as a character in the LOTRO.
The other eight professions have an equal amount of pros and cons for each
player. What you must remember, however, when you choose a character is to look
at the professions of each character and assess which one you think that you'll
need more of. Professions in the LOTRO are very important and should be chosen
wisely.
